Gain tools to challenge misinformation and reshape the narratives we hear in media and politics. Discover practical ways to take action, volunteer, and support refugees in your own community. Enjoy a shared dinner and network with students, community members, and guest speakers passionate about social justice. Kick off the end of semester with S4R's last 2024 event. With a screening of the inspiring movie 'The Swimmer' by Sally El Hosaini. A story of the miraculous journey made by swimming sisters Yusra and Sarah Mardini who fled as refugees from war-torn Syria all the way to the 2016 Rio Olympics. The event is free for S4R 2024 MEMBERS, however, sign ups is available on the day and memberships are free.  

Come join us for some painting fun, as we get your help to personalise our gift pack tote bags that we send off to the refugee families accessing the refugee health service in Perth Childrens Hospital.  The theme for the event is 'Home away from home' so paint something that reminds you of home! Food and drinks will be provided :) Tickets will be $5 and all profits will go towards our Gift Pack Program - S4R
